30 Day Photography Challenge: Day 11

It’s day 11 of the 30 Day Photography Challenge I am doing with my friend Alexis, and today’s challenge is to take a picture of something blue. I went for a walk on my lunch break but stupidly did not bring my camera, and therefore did not get a picture of the bluebird I saw. How perfect would that have been? Instead, I got this:

This is a sign from a market next to the church that closed down this summer. I realize this is not the greatest picture, but it does have blue in it so mission accomplished! Tomorrow’s picture is of a sunset. That should be infinitely more interesting than this one. See you then!

30 Day Photography Challenge: Day 10

It’s day 10 of the 30 Day Photography Challenge I’m doing with my friend Alexis. Today’s challenge is to take a picture of a childhood memory. I had lots of things I could do, but I finally settled on this:

I had this book when I was little and have such fond memories of it. I was so excited to find this copy of it at a thrift store when Michal was a baby. After seeing me take pictures of it tonight, she asked for it at bedtime. I’m glad she likes it too! What were some of your favorite books when you were a kid?

It’s day nine of the 30 Day Photography Challenge I’m doing with my friend Alexis. Today’s challenge was to take a picture of someone you love. The challenge for me was who to choose, Ryan or Michal, so I didn’t! Here’s my picture:

30 Day Photography Challenge: Day 8

It’s day eight of the 30 Day Photography Challenge I’m doing with my friend Alexis. Today’s challenge is to take a picture of a bad habit, and I couldn’t resist taking a picture of this:

We have an amazing donut shop next door to our church so every Sunday moring we treat ourselves to a donut. It’s horrible, I know, but they are soooooo good! It’s really hard for me not to get one everyday because I work at the church, but most days I can resist.

My favorite kind is the glazed buttermilk bar. So tangy and delicious. Ryan gets the chocolate frosted original. Michal likes anything with sprinkles, and eats around the top until only the bottom, non-frosted/sprinkled part is left. As you can see, she had already snagged her donut before this picture was taken. Today, Ryan got a spiced donut and it was delicious! Perfect for fall! What’s your favorite donut? 30 Day Photography Challenge: Day 7

I’m doing a 30 Day Photography Challenge with my friend Alexis. Today’s challenge is to take a picture of fruit. Here’s my picture:

If I had been thinking, I would have take a picture of our smoothies this morning; lots of fruit there! But I wasn’t thinking. So, I opened the fruit drawer in the fridge and viola!  Oranges! Ryan has really loves oranges. Once, in college, he ate 11 oranges at one time! Crazy! What is your favorite fruit? I really love kiwi, and grapefruit! See you tomorrow for a picture of one of my bad habits. Ooo, I’ll have to think about what to do for that one.
