It’s day 19 of the 30 Day Photography Challenge I’m doing with my friend Alexis. Today’s challenge is to take a picture of something orange. Here’s what I did:
Gourds! I love gourds. I buy them for decorating every year! This, and the gourds on the buffet behind, are my only decorating for Fall this year. I have an idea for a wreath I want to do, but I haven’t done it yet. What are you doing for Fall decorations this year?

It’s day 18 of the 30 Day Photography Challenge I’m doing with my friend Alexis. Today’s challenge is to take a picture of your (my) shoes. And here they are:
I LOVE these shoes. I bought them on a whim one day when I was out shopping with my Mom as part of the BOGO sale at Payless and I am so glad I did! I think I have worn them every single day since, and it’s starting to show:
The sides are starting to wear (for some reason that always happens with my shoes),
And so are the heels. Good thing it will be boot weather soon. Do you have a favorite pair of shoes you wear all the time?

It’s day 17 of the 30 day Photography Challenge I’m doing with my friend Alexis. Today’s challenge is a picture of technology. Here’s what I got:
It’s the keyboard I play at church when I’m leading the worship time. We just got it not to long ago to replace a really old one we had. It’s not the latest and greatest technology, but it does what it needs to do, and allows me to do what I want to do, which is worship God. You don’t know how happy it makes me to know that playing the piano and singing are part of my job! Sweet! I love to go in the sanctuary when no one else is around and play and sing my heart out. It’s day 16 of the 30 Day Photography Challenge I’m doing with my friend Alexis. That means we are more than halfway through the challenge. I can’t believe it! Today’s challenge is to take a picture with long exposure. I decided to do the trick where you move the camera around as the picture is taking, and whatever light is in the shot, appears as squiggles in the picture. Can you guess what I took a picture of?
If you guessed the moon, you were right! Crazy right? I obviously got some other light in there too, I think it’s a streetlamp and someones house light. Stay tuned, because tomorrow is technology!

It’s day 15 of the 30 Day Photography Challenge I’m doing with my friend Alexis, and today’s challenge is a picture of a silhouette. I admit, I got a lot of help with this. Ryan got the settings on the camera correct, I took the picture, and then I edited it on the computer to make the contrast better. Here’s how it turned out:
If you couldn’t tell, although I’m sure you could, it’s Ryan and Michal. Perfect picture subjects in my opinion! Tomorrow’s challenge is a picture with long exposure; stretching my photography skills (or lack there of), even further. See you then!

It’s days 13 and 14 of the 30 Day Photography Challenge I’m doing with my friend Alexis. The challenge for day 13 was to take a picture of me with 13 things, and for day 14, a picture of eyes. To anyone who knows me, it’s no surprise that I’m behind again. I just couldn’t seem to think of something for day thirteen. Thirteen things, where was I going to find 13 things? Then today, I saw it! Here’s what I got:
Outside on the patio were 13 pieces of chalk that Michal had been playing with earlier in the day. Thirteen pieces exactly! How cool is that? I decided to take a picture of them, including my feet (to get me in there), and then Michal decided to join in too. Her foot is covering one of the pieces of chalk, so if you count, you’ll only count 12 pieces, but trust me, the 13th piece is there. 
Okay, on to day 14, eyes! Here’s what I got:
Ryan said “Mommy wants to take a picture of your eyes. Open them up wide”. This is what she did. Than she did this:
She’s so funny!

It’s day 12 of the 30 Day Photography Challenge I’m doing with my friend Alexis. Today’s challenge was to take a picture of a sunset. Here’s what I got:
We don’t have a great view of the sunset from where we are. Lots of stuff in the way, but it’s still pretty.
I loved the way these clouds looked!
This is the opposite direction of the sunset. I like the way the sun is shinning on the top of the mountain.
